sneezing allergy reactionWHY ARE THERE ALLERGIES?
An allergic reaction is simply an improper response of the immune system to a harmless substance, such as foods, vitamins, medications, pollens, flowers, weeds, grasses, trees, dust, plastics, etc. The body reacts by releasing powerful chemicals that cause classic symptoms: runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, rashes, depression, asthma, fatigue, headache, insomnia, and various pains which can present themselves in almost any part of the body.

ALLERGY TREATMENTS
Traditional treatments such as shots, antihistamines, and abstinence from the offending substance may be effective in some cases, but usually do not help the severely allergic or those who are allergic to many things. Until recent years, these were your only options. Now becoming more available are treatments called “energy therapies” which use your bodies on energy to test and treat for allergies. Two of these energy therapies are described in the following paragraphs.

NAET & JMT
They stand for Nambudiprad Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) & Jaffe-Mellor Technique (JMT) that our doctors both have learned and practiced for years. NAET and JMT both utilize applied kinesiology (muscle testing), Chinese acupuncture and chiropractic approaches to diagnose and these immune responses. Both methods use a methodology that requires you to be tested and treated for a foundation list of elements including such things as vitamins, minerals, salts, sugars, eggs, grains and dairy. Once these negative responses have been treated, then you can go on to address other foods or pollens and so forth.

In both JMT and NAET, muscle testing is used to test for negative immune response. Different from a traditional scratch test, that purely looks for a histamine response (usually causing nasal/respiratory symptoms). Muscle testing goes deeper to find substances that cause your body to weaken or lose energy. Thus, enabling a practitioner to detect substances, that could be causing more subtle symptoms like headaches or hyperactivity. During the testing, you will be asked to hold a substance (in a diluted form) in one hand while you hold your other arm tight. If you are negatively responding, your arm muscle will weaken and yield to often gentle pressure applied by the practitioner. This weakening indicates that substance is causing some harm to your body. Although highly accurate, muscle testing is not as accurate as the blood tests, but does offer other advantages. Virtually anything can be tested. Anything you can bring to your practitioner can be tested such as medications you are currently taking, flowers from your garden, a soap or perfume. In most cases, your practitioner will have a very large library of substances to test on hand. They can test things like many foods as well as proteins, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, pollens, dust, mold, plastic and even hormones and insulin. They can also test for reactions to things like the MMR and other vaccines some have related to Autism. Muscle testing can be done for considerably less money then laboratory testing and results are immediate.

HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE RESULTS?
The treatments consist of stimulating acupressure points along the spine to keep energy flowing in the body while in the presence of an immune response. It feels like a deep/proprioceptive taping that many people may find relaxing. This stimulation retrains the body not to respond and weaken when exposed to an offending substance. So it does not “cure” allergies in that they will always be there if a blood test is taken, but rather retrains your body to ignore the allergen eliminating the reaction.
The average person will require 15 visits more or less depending on the number of allergens to clear but may start noticing a lesser reaction to allergens in less.  Most people have more allergies then they know about. These are often called hidden allergies as their symptoms are mild or they do not occur until a day or more after exposure.
JMT is more efficient than NAET in that it treats more allergic responses in a single visit. JMT also differs in that it does not require a 24 hour avoidance period in which you cannot come in contact with the treated substance for 24 hours. This can be difficult for common things like dust or sugar.
Children tend to have fewer allergies and clear more easily than adults. Babies and small children can also be treated through the use of a surrogate. This is when an adult is tested and treated while holding the hand of the child. The energy and treatment flows through the adult’s body to the child.

Nut Allergy WarningCan Allergies Be Controlled Permanently? – A True story at CA Clinic about a child with severe peanut allergies
Tom was brought into our clinic by his mother. She said, “Doctor, please help my son. I do not want him to die from eating peanuts!” Tom had a severe allergy to peanuts. If he even touched a peanut shell, he quickly developed hives on his hands, arms, shoulders, head, and over his whole body. His tongue became swollen, his throat tightened, he began to choke and could not breathe. He needed to use his inhaler immediately. Once, while at his friend’s home, he was given a cookie made with peanut butter. He began to react and had to go to the hospital emergency room immediately. The doctor said that if his friend’s mother had not been at home with the boys and had not brought him in immediately, Tom might have died.
Our clinic uses a process working with frequency, in conjunction with no-needle acupuncture, to treat allergies. Tom’s treatment began by exposure to a vial of liquid carrying the frequency of a peanut. Think of plastic CDs using frequency to carry the music of your favorite singers. In this case, the vial of liquid carries the information of the peanut. The body recognizes the substance that causes the allergy, but will not have the same antigen/antibody reaction as it would have to the actual allergen.
After two treatments, Tom’s body did not react when he held the peanut frequency vial in his hand. We were now able to place the vial on other parts of his body, including the chest and throat area, and Tom developed no hives or rash. We let him to hold a real peanut in his hands and he showed no adverse reaction.
In the next step, we placed a real peanut to the outside of his mouth. This produced some swelling after a few minutes, but no crisis, as his previous reactions had been. We did gentle spinal stimulation and after three more visits, his lips did not react to the peanut.
With this success, we began to treat Tom a little more aggressively by placing the peanut inside his mouth but outside his teeth. After twenty minutes, his gums were slightly red and he felt a slight tightness in his chest, but there was no asthma. We added some cranial adjustment treatments to help rebalance the nervous system. The tightness and heavy feeling in his chest went away. After three more visits, his gums did not react anymore.
Next we placed the peanut under his tongue which became slightly swollen, and the mucous membrane under the tongue became slightly red. However, we left the peanut under his tongue for thirty minutes during the acupuncture treatment and he had no further reaction during that visit.
On Tom’s twelfth visit, his mother gave me a big hug and told me a new story. Tom had eaten chocolate at school the previous day. Tom ate it, and only afterward tasted the peanut butter in it. Fearfully Tom waited for the reaction, but he felt only slight stomach cramps. His heart was pounding – but from fear, not from an allergic reaction. Nothing more happened, and after a few minutes, he ran off to play with his friends.
Tom brought the candy wrapper home to show his mother. She said, “We do not expect him to be eating peanuts, but he accidentally did. Now we know that peanuts will not kill him. I am very happy. You do not know how much worry and fear I have experienced every day when he went to school. I was afraid that he might eat a candy bar or other food with traces of peanuts and would not be able to come home. He is only eight years old! And now I can breathe again, too.”
